Your day gets heated when we come to pick you up from your designated hotel or railway station in Agra. You will drive southwards for about 40 kilometers along the Jaipur highway, from Agra, to reach Fatehpur Sikri—the City of Victory—built by Emperor Akbar and once the Mughal capital for a brief period.
After this, you can visit the following architectural wonders of Fatehpur Sikri:
Palace of Jodhabhai: The perfect harmony of Hinduism and Mughalism.
Panch Mahal: This is a unique five-storied structure for royal leisure and enjoyment.
Tansen Platform: A historical site with legendary musician Tansen.
Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chishti, a Sufi shrine that is thought to be useful in wishing. Buland Darwaza: The magnificent entrance gateway, immensely symbolic of Mughal architectural brilliance.
Midday :
Drive to Bharatpur and Bird Sanctuary Visit
From Fatehpur Sikri, head towards Bharatpur, which is barely 20 km away from the Uttar Pradesh-Rajasthan border. Come to Bharatpur, the home of Keoladeo National Park, one of the most world-renowned national parks, recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO, an absolute paradise for bird lovers.
Take a nice leisurely cycle or rickshaw ride through the sanctuary amidst lush green wilderness and bright wildlife. Flying in will be:
Siberian cranes: migratory birds who come each winter.
Grey herons: Beautiful wading birds found near water bodies.
Indian skimmers: A bird that is actually quite unique by its long lower beak.
Certainly, the park does have a peaceful ambience for self-purgation with nature besides exploring what is scenic.
Afternoon :
Lunch and Return to Agra
You will spend 2-3 hours at the bird sanctuary and will head back to Agra. You will stop at a restaurant along the way to taste some mouth-watering dishes, ranging from strictly Indian to international.
The drive from here will take about 1.5 hours back to Agra. Once here, you would be dropped at your hotel or your place of choosing, thus ending your memorable trip to Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur.
